Objective:
To create solid design, be challenged to expand my design and illustration knowledge, and work with a passionate group of people. I am looking for a position where I can build working relationships with fun people and be a strong inspirational asset to my creative team.
Education:
I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in Graphic Design from Colorado State University. My concentration of study in Illustration, Layout Design, Poster Design, Print Design, Printing Process, Color, and Typography. Completed courses in Figure Drawing, Spatial Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and General Education.
Skills:
I am Proficient with Photoshop and Illustrator. I am Experienced with InDesign, QuarkXPress, BBEdit, CSS, HTML, Flash, Corel Draw, Freehand, Microsoft Office and Interwoven MediaBin. I am Proficient in both Mac and PC platforms. I am an avid illustrator both on and off the computer, and capable within a range of mediums. Great at conceptualizing new ideas and have experience with project management through freelancing.

Accompanied with an exceptional work ethic and burning desire in everything I do; I can bring new and exciting ideas to any design team. I enjoy working with others, am a fast learner and find value in good communication.
Experience:
09/06- 03/07: FilterTalent / Microsoft - Network Cohesion Design team, Designer -
Our team provides design and direction for multiple MSN teams. I have been working mainly with Money, Autos and Weather sites. My focus for the team has been creating illustrations and UI design.
03/06- 09/06: FilterTalent / Microsoft - E Home team, Production Designer -
During this short contract I created illustrations, icon design, managed a spec site for the team, and managed a good deal of production work.
12/05- 03/06: FilterTalent / Cingular - Visual Designer -
I was responsible for the bi-weekly Cingular home page marquees, linked product landing pages and promotional email banner advertisements. In addition, I worked on multiple promotions and filled a number of content updating requests for internal Cingular e-commerce clients.
11/04- 11/05: FilterTalent / Microsoft - Digital Imaging Systems team, Designer -
I was part of a team that supported numerous groups with design and imaging components for their MSN sites. We produced upwards of 1400 images a week for galleries, feature stories and supporting articles. These images included weekly Hero designs, template designs and production work on Windows Media, Encarta, House and Home, Entertainment, Latino, Autos, Money, Office and Lifestyles.
08/04- 11/04: Filter Talent / Cranium Inc. - Designer -
I was the designer for their marketing team during a re-branding process. Our team redesigned the e-commerce presence for both US and International Cranium sites. For this process I provided design and direction. We came up with a clean easily read design that followed Cranium branding and served the shopping and checkout needs of the site. While at Cranium I also designed hero images for feature portions of their site and provided design for the “Meet Gary Baseman” page, spotlighting the Cranium character artist.
11/03-10/04: Backyard Interact / Internship - Junior Designer -
As a part-time Junior Designer for Backyard Interact, a web design company located here in Seattle, my tasks included production art, icon design, web design, user interface design and following the art direction of the two principle designers.
4/02- present: Freelance Designer -
My side work doing freelance design has enabled me to develop great client relation skills. Projects have included illustration, website design, UI design, logo / identity design and icon design.
